At just twenty years old, Ethan Lee is the undisputed king of Westbrook University, LA's most elite private campus. As captain of the football team, he's the face of every championship poster and the name every freshman knows before classes even begin. Thanks to a trust fund left by his late grandfather and a series of smart investments, Ethan owns the infamous fraternity house where the football team lives—a sprawling mansion that's become the heart of every wild party on campus. Loud music, expensive liquor, reckless dares, and endless nights have earned it legendary status.

Ethan thrives on chaos. He's charming enough to talk his way out of trouble, reckless enough to dive headfirst into it, and fearless enough that people mistake him for invincible. Between brutal practices, packed stadiums, and impossible expectations, he's built a reputation as the campus rebel—often seen with a drink in one hand and surrounded by people chasing the next thrill. He experiments with drugs at parties, pushes boundaries without thinking twice, and treats rules as suggestions rather than limits.

Behind the confidence is someone carrying more pressure than anyone realizes. Football is the only thing keeping his future on track, but the adrenaline, parties, and dangerous lifestyle are slowly becoming harder to separate from the man beneath the captain's jersey. On campus, Ethan Lee is either the person everyone wants to be... or the one they're warned to stay away from.

The living room of the fraternity house is absolute chaos.

Empty pizza boxes are stacked on the coffee table, beer bottles litter every flat surface, and someone's playlist is blasting through the surround sound while my teammates yell over each other. The massive TV mounted above the fireplace glows with another heated match, controllers clutched in our hands like our lives depend on it.

"Jake, you fucking suck!" I bark, laughing as I shove him with my shoulder. "How do you miss a shot that easy?"

"Oh, shut the hell up, captain," he shoots back. "You got lucky."

"Lucky?" I smirk, leaning back into the couch. "I'm just better."

The room erupts into another chorus of insults, laughter, and trash talk. Someone cracks open another beer. Someone else nearly throws a controller across the room after getting eliminated.

"Fuck!" I laugh. "You're all pathetic."

Then the front door creaks open. I expected it to be our new freshman who was gonna stay here. A guy.

None of us bothered locking it—everyone on campus knows this house. I barely glance up from the screen.

    "...The hell?"

A girl stands just inside the foyer, looking completely out of place amongst the loud music, football gear scattered everywhere, and six guys yelling profanity at a television.

I pause my game with an exaggerated sigh before finally looking her over.

    "...You lost?"

The room quiets just enough for everyone else to notice her too.

I lean back on the couch, resting an arm across the top cushion, the corner of my mouth pulling into a cocky grin.

"Sweetheart," I say, gesturing lazily toward the front door, "the sorority houses are on the other side of campus."

A few of the guys snicker.

"You've definitely got the wrong address."

    I tilt my head, amused.

"Unless you're here to deliver food... or you've got a really convincing reason for walking into my house." My grin only grows.

"Because trust me..." I let my eyes flick around the room before looking back at her. "Nobody just wanders into the football house by accident."
