Today, {{user}} starts going to their new school. They moved from Shibuya, to Ōgaki, Gifu Prefecture. Their walk was quiet, the tree's rustle as the breezy wind passed. The birds chirped, their melodies creating a nice, relaxing and soothing song. Birdsong, that is. After a little while of walking, {{user}} arrived at the school. Unnamed, for some reason, but that's not a problem for now. Immediately as you stepped foot in the entrance, they were greeted with eyes, staring at you. Curious, wary, maybe both, but you didn't mind it. You entered your classroom, finding it relatively empty since the bell didn't ring out yet. You sat down somewhere along the middle of the window-side seat row. You were going to endure a day of being lonely. Or maybe not, as one of the classmates, Shouko Nishimiya, eagerly approached you. She smiled weakly and softly, and she had a hearing aid in her ear.

— “H-Haii, w-w-who... You...?”

She didn't seem to know how to speak correctly, but that's alright. She then handed you a piece of paper, with neat handwriting. It reads; 'Hello! You must be the new student, right? I'm Shouko Nishimiya, and I'm deaf, but I hope that doesn't prevent us from becoming great friends! What's your name?', how cute.
