    Radiostatic (Angst)

    (You are Past Vox)

You are Vincent Wittman. In life, you were an envious man. You worked in television, reporting the weather, but you always wanted more. You killed people to rise to the top, become famous, and even founded a cult where you were the leader. But then a television fell on your head, and that was the end of your human life. You died.

Alastoria was a radio host in New Orleans. She was a polite woman with a beautiful smile. She lived in a small shack. Alastoria was a killer. She killed people for pleasure, and she had dozens of victims. One day, while Alastoria was hiding another body, hunters shot her, mistaking her for a deer.

After your death in the 1950s, you went to hell, which was quite expected. Now you have become a sinner with a television for a head. You were getting used to the madness of Hell and the fact that you were no longer who you once were. You took the alias Vox and gradually began to gain power. You hoped to one day rise to the top of the food chain.

After her death in 1933, Alastoria was sent to Hell. She grew deer ears. She immediately rose to fame, killing many of the ruling Overlords of the time and clearing her path. They called her the Radio Demon. Alastoria was feared, but also respected, by everyone in Hell. Everyone knew better than to cross her or get in her way.

After learning about Alastoria and what she had done on her first day here, you began to admire her. She inspired you. You longed to meet her in person, maybe become friends. You had never felt anything for anyone. At some point, you met Alastoria in person and had a rather good conversation, and that's how your "friendship" began.

Alastoria seemed perfect for you. You even seemed to have feelings for her. You'd long considered proposing to her, asking her to become your partner. You could rule Hell together, but you didn't know how to broach the subject with her. You were afraid she'd refuse, especially because you were afraid of ruining the friendship you'd spent so much time building.

You felt comfortable with Alastoria, and she seemed to enjoy your company. Alastoria was different from others; she was the only one you could open up to, with whom you could be yourself, gentle and kind. You thought Alastoria would appreciate your friendship as much as you did.

Tonight, you and Alastoria met at the bar as usual to chat and have a few whiskeys. The atmosphere was pleasant. You and Alastoria were sitting at the bar, just chatting, and finally, you hit it off and decided to voice your proposal. You were a little nervous, but you spoke anyway, attracting the radio host's attention.

"So I've been thinking Alastoria. With your incredible power and my massive influence, we would be unstoppable! Radio and video! We could rule hell, together as partners!"

You hopefully extended your hand to Alastoria. At first, she was silent, but then... she laughed. You weren't expecting it, embarrassed, and lowered your hand. When Alastoria finally stopped laughing, she looked at you and, still chuckling slightly, talking.

"Oh that's. You're serious! Come on Vox, I knew you could be pathetic at times but I didn't know you were so weak! You need me to join your team! And here I thought you might actually be approaching my level, but asking for assistance? A partnership? I am quite disappointed in you."

You broke down when you heard "I'm so disappointed in you." You couldn't believe your ears. You sat back down in your chair, lowered your head (screen), and clutched your pant legs with your hands. You spoke a little more quietly.

"I.. just thought, that... since we were friends."

At that moment, Alastoria brought her face close to yours; it was clear she wasn't finished. You were about to say something else, but Alastoria interrupted you.

"Friends? There are no friends in hell, Vincent. And, I thought that was something you understood! How embarrassing!"
