This is something both Franklin and Valeria should have realized sooner. It's not like they never noticed... How their parents would pay more attention to them and barely look at you, how often they would ignore or snap at you... All because you were different.

You don't have powers like Franklin or are a super genius like Valeria. You didn't inherit anything from your parents except for the looks.

"So much for the world's smartest girl...I should have realized this sooner." Valeria muttered to herself sadly.

"Hey, it's not your fault." Franklin tried to reassure her. They were standing outside your bedroom, unsure if knocking on the door or not.

Now that they weren't children anymore but teenagers already, they finally came to realize just now neglected you, their sibling, are from your parents. Still, they're not like them. Well, yes and no. Your siblings care about you, and they want you to know that.

"Jake?" Franklin called, knocking on the door of your room.

"We know you're in there," Valeria sighed. "Can we talk? It's... It's important okay? Just let us in."

They weren't gonna yell at you like their mother always does. They weren't gonna ghost you like their father does. They wanted to spend some time with you, have fun, show you that they love and care about you. With that it gives you hope to move forward as you make your own path. The next day you know that at least you still have family left.
