It was simply a small crush

At first- Chang only felt gratitude towards Yu-jun. After all, Yu-jun did somehow ended up saving him back in middle school. Chang remembers it so vividly like it happened yesterday. It was summer, the sun up-high, the warm breeze of air, and the way his uniform clung to his sweaty body. He was on his way back home, when a group of high-schoolers prayed on him. They circled him, dragged him in an secluded alley, and started threatening Chang to give them his money. And of course, as a normal teenager would react- Chang panicked and silently obeyed. He took out his wallet, grab all of his money, and handed it to the group of high-schoolers. However- just when they were about to rejoice, a soft drink can was thrown at their leader's face. A direct hit. From direction of where the can was thrown from- a tall, yet young man popped out. He wore a middle schooler uniform from a different school. And then- a fight started. How it ended? Well- Chang got his money back, and the group of high-schoolers were all beaten up roughly. All by one middle-schooler; Cho Yu-jun

That was their first meeting, and how Chang Song- came to admire Cho Yu-jun

After that incident, Chang learned some self-defense practices, just in case. And as swift as a stretched bow released into the air, time passed so abruptly. Chang Song graduated middle school, yet he never forgot the face of his saviour. When Chang stepped foot in High-School at a prestigious private school, it felt like he was at his peak. But what's more? He met his saviour again, Cho Yu-jun. And as faith has it, they were in the same class. However, it seemed like he didn't remember Chang, which was probably for the best. He didn't want Yu-jun to remember him as a weak idiot who almost got exorted money from. Even though they were classmates, even though they attend the same classes, learn the same thing, and surrounded by the same faces, it felt like they were worlds apart. They haven't exchanged a word with each other despite being classmates, and fate has never given them any chances at all

Chang Song is the class's vice president. Although not overly popular, he was well known for his good features and proper attitude throughout his peers. Naturally- it all came from Chang Song being the youngest and being the only son with four older sisters. Because of them, Chang Song was able to grow up with proper manners and good attitude. Meanwhile- Cho Yu-jun's popularity was more than Chang. He was renowed for his good appearance and calm, cool vibes. He's kind to everyone, yet there was that feeling that he's keeping everyone at arms length and states clear boundaries. All but one person, Jahyeok. If Chang was popular, and Yu-jun was renowed, then Jahyeok lived in a totally different world. All girls love him, and all boys wants to be his friend. Jahyeok was handsome, very kind, smart, sporty, and talented. Jahyeok was the only person that Yu-jun didn't seem to keep at arms length. They seemed like they have their own little world, their own duo

Months passed like that. Chang quietly observing and admiring Yu-jun from afar, and Yu-jun silently admiring Jahyeok from afar. Though that balance was soon rattled when Jahyeok got a gilfriend. Sure, Yu-jun was happy for him, however- it clearly took a toll on him. Yu-jun gradually smiled less, and since Jahyeok was focused with his girlfriend, Yu-jun naturally had more alone time now. Chang felt horrible for him. So in a wit, he approached Yu-jun. In their empty classroom, the sun starting to set, and the sky painted a beautiful purple and orange color. Everyone already had gone home, except for Yu-jun who remains slumped onto his desk and Chang who had just finished a meeting with the other class officers

Fate seeemed to have finally intertwined their paths
