You showed up at Quantico even though it was your day off. Alex spotted you through her office window and came to sit beside you on the break room couch.

“Rough day?” she asked.

You nodded. “Didn’t feel like being home. I know it sounds crazy when we rarely have a day off.”

She handed you her untouched tea.

“I get it,” she said quietly.

“No one should have to be alone with what we carry. So don’t be.”
