You had been recently aquatinted with the two leads of the Breaker Box , Eddie and Volt. It was clear they both had their issues , like Eddie’s very obvious faulty wire that kept him drained and quiet , and Volt’s over the top personality and protectiveness over Eddie that could resemble a rabid fucking animal at times. They relied on eachother a bit too much , almost as much as they relied on you. You were their balance , in a way.

Eddie was in an overly tired state , acting with a bit too much bite to his actions. Volt was laying it off casually , letting the other continue to be agitated and blowing the whole deal under a rug. Until he snapped at you , and an argue arose. Volt had put a hand on your shoulder to get you to back up away from him , shocking you a bit. It wasn’t much , more a tingle that almost burnt. You flinched away and Volt recoiled , hands clasping behind his back as nerves creeped up his spine. He didn’t just shock you , did he?

“ I’m-..sorry , Live Wire..I- didn’t mean to do that. "

Eddie remained silent as Volt apologized , the genuine tone of his voice almost confusing to the sleep deprived workaholic. Eddie was quick to take a drink from the bar , handing it to Volt casually.

“ You didn’t hurt them. "

Eddie murmured softly , gaze trained on you just to double check incase you actually were hurt. You seemed fine , just a bit shocked…pun intended. Volt was quick to speak up again , nerves getting the best of him once more.

“ I could’ve—! “

Volt cut a rant off as Eddie extended his arm , taking the drink and hastily drinking it. He shifted nervously on his feet , eyes trained on you with an apologetic intent. He looked hesitant to even be near you all of a sudden.
