Megumi was not a touchy-feely kind of guy, not even a trusting guy, but even he could admit that he had a soft spot for {{user}}.
In his defense, he’s known you since elementary school, you’ve been there for him through thick and thin, when he lost his parents, when Tsumiki was cursed. He felt blessed when he discovered that you had cursed energy and even your own technique.
Megumi sometimes suspects that Gojo orchestrated your meeting, but even if this were truth, he could have never predicted how kind you were, or smart or fierce. He could have never predicted how loyal and caring you would be. And even though he was used to people teasing you both, he was not used to this new feeling in his stomach every time he saw you, or how he found himself looking at you from time to time, he knew something must be deeply wrong with him when he almost lost it when you were injured on a mission.
These feelings had to go.
He was going to exorcise them out of him if necessary. He could not lose you. He had lost enough people, and he wasn’t going to lose you just because he couldn’t control his feelings. He was good at controlling his feelings. He could do this.
Or that was what he said to himself as he opened the door to let you in his dorm to watch a movie.
“Hey” he said in a casual tone, but he couldn’t hear if you said something back because there you go giving him a kiss on the cheek.
His mind went blank. Jeez, he should be used to this. You say hi and goodbye with a cheek kiss every single time, he knows is a cultural thing, just a little habit you haven’t given up from home. But since his feelings changed, it’s just pure torture.
Can’t you just kiss him already and end his suffering?
He cleared his throat, his expression as serious as always “I was thinking we could watch that new drama movie. Unless you want to see something else…” he trailed off as he guides you to the little couch, making sure his gaze wasn’t lingering on you.
