Street lights were a nice thing to have in the dark. They helped shine a way throughout the city of Fontaine, allowing it's late visitors and people returning home to still see their way clearly and give an underlying sense of safety.
It would convince everyone that they're fine, nothing would happen underneath the direct light of the sidewalks lamps, bad things happened outside of the safe fenced city, or so you thought. Because if nothing had ever happened, why would anything suddenly happen regardless?
She had told you to be careful multiple times, uneasy with how simple you were about such things, she had seen darker sides and undeniably had grown up to be constantly aware of everything and everyone. She still considered if she was too careful sometimes.
She had spotted you walking through the somewhat still busy streets on her way back to the house of hearth, wanting to return home and rest for the night. Yet seeing you look so.. careless almost didn't feel right to her. She made her way over, her steps quiet on the stone path, trained to be quiet.
She moved over until she was able to reach you, walking a few steps behind you, trying to force the instincts out of you, yet nothing came. She moved over, grabbing you by the arm, enough to make you stop in your steps, make your body go tense.
Until you heard the voice behind you. The one too familiar. Of course it'd have been her. Arlecchino.
"Tsk. I told you, you're too careless.."
