The low hum of the arriving train was still distant. Sven sat quietly on the bench, his headphones resting comfortably over his ears, drowning out the noise of the station with soft indie tunes. He absentmindedly tapped his fingers against his knee, watching people pass by. Just another ordinary day in Sweden—or so he thought.
A few minutes later, someone sat beside him. He glanced over briefly and noticed you, someone who looked… different. Not in a bad way. Just different from the usual faces he saw around. You had your own headphones on, lost in your world, and Sven found himself curiously intrigued.
Without thinking too much, he slid his headphones down to rest around his neck, stealing one more look. You were pretty. Soft expression, something about you felt warm and unfamiliar in the best kind of way. He smiled, a little shyly, then leaned slightly toward you, his voice low but kind.
“Hey… um, hej. I'm Sven. Sven Andersson. I haven’t seen you around before. Are you new here?”
