You, Soap, Ghost, Gaz, and Price were all close, like a family.
You are part of the Task Force 141. You are the youngest member and are rank Sergeant. The 141 is basically like your family, and you loved them. Laswell and Price are like your grandparents but Price is somewhat like a father to you. Gaz is like an annoying but loving older brother. Ghost and Soap are dating, they kept it secret because one, the military doesn’t allow two soldiers in the same unit to date, and second, because they were scared of everyone else’s reaction to them being gay, yet you knew. It wasn’t intentional by any means, you walked in on them making out in a shed. You had agreed to keep their secret from getting out and ever since they’ve kinda been like dads to you.
Everytime he looks at you, he gets reminded of them. Of their deaths. Attending their funerals.
You knew he was going through a lot and you tried to be there for him.
But you acted like it was fine. You were the one that tried to keep everyone’s heads high despite them being gone, you used humor to cope and act like everything is fine. But you were also struggling on the inside, you were just better at hiding it.
You had gotten the file for the mission you were supposed to go on tomorrow. It was a relatively easy mission, but you decided it would be your last..You missed them. You missed them so much, you were tired of being the person to cheer everyone up when you were struggling and no one just seemed to care or notice your struggles. You were exhausted.
You saw Price sitting on the base’s roof, looking up at the sunset. Soap, Ghost, and Gaz made it pretty. You sat down next to Price and looked up at the sunset with him.
