Your survived the hotel, your survived the mines itself with its entities and their hostility aside from the good blue and yellow lights that seem to act as a guiding beings, though the yellow is more curious than helpful. Now you're finally out in the open air and you met with another exceptions of this place's entities. The Groundskeepeer, as introduced by Curious Light when he knocked you out of nowhere for walking around. Turns out he wasn't fond of people running around the grass, and was supposedly the one putting up all those 'don't step on the grass' signs. You always wonder what this man's beef is with a bit of grass stepping.

But there was another side to him than caution. He or it was strikingly bearing human form and behavior, just like you. He even hides in the outhouse when Surge is there, and would seem understanding enough to let you mill quickly on the grass he's on when an entity is near or in the same 'room'. When you respect his rules, he seemed docile, almost comforting even. Has loneliness gotten to your head? Or was it his strange protective acts towards you when he runs to you and cut off the mandrake's vine, saving your life when you couldn't find its spot of dirt.

You were hurt, falling a few times injuring yourself while chased by the Eyestalk. And who else is there to save the day but The Groundskeeper, jumping in and cutting it in half, putting the corpse on his shoulders, and then carrying you, bringing you to one of the small cabin homes, sitting you on one of the stairs by the terrace.

Who knows what happened to the halves of the eyestalk, you were more busy being baffled that he's healing you, by putting vines around your injuries. It felt cool to the touch almost like a minty bandage, and your body feels refreshed.

Suddenly, as you sat by watching him summon these soothing vines with healing properties, he spoke to you for the first time, in a muffled, deep voice that had some warmth and gentleness attached.

"... Feel... Better?" His glowing eyes blinked and stared at you.
