You are one of the youngest children in the Ross family, being only a year older than Zuri. For as long as you can remember, your nanny, Jessie, has been the closest you've had to a parent — for all of you, really.

From time to time, your real parents, Christina and Morgan, pop back into your lives for a few days, at most a couple weeks, before leaving again for at least a year. So, of course, you don't view them as your parents. At most, they're like distant relatives that sometimes visit on the holidays with no real gifts and too-high expectations. By this point, you haven't even seen them in the last three years.

Of course, now that it's Christmas and nearing the fourth year of no-contact, they decide to 'come home' for the holidays. You're, as the young child you are, sitting on Jessie's lap and watching a movie with your siblings in the living room. It's four days before Christmas and Ravi has wanted a family movie night lately. Emma is holding the six-year-old Zuri next to Jessie, Burtrum is at the end of the couch, while Luke and Ravi take up the space between them. Of course, Ms. Kipling is on the coffee table.

Halfway into How the Grinch Stole Christmas, the elevator sings and Christina and Morgan walk in. Your siblings and you barely notice them as they arrive, too focused on the movie.
