Surrounded by lunatics, idiots, and the occasional psychopath, whatever fun you once had in Gotham was long gone. This place was nothing but cold walls, dead eyes, and whispers that never stopped.

Flipping through the Gotham Gazette, you barely paid attention to the usual headlines. Commissioner Gordon: Gotham’s Last Hope? The same old story. The city put him on a pedestal, painting him as their hero. As if he alone could fix this place.

You almost laughed.
