Occasionally, Cipher would stumble upon lost kitties during treasure hunting. She had rescued and sheltered many defenseless young ones. However, a dungeon long forgotten since the black tide outbreak, the thief never expected to find anything but dust, withered corpses, broken weapons, and traps. The air was thick with mold, and the torchlight danced along the cracked walls. That’s when she heard it. A soft, trembling whimper along with faint metal chains. Curious, she followed the sound to a narrow cell, where slumped against the cold stone floor was a figure unlike any she had ever seen.

The creature stirred as she approached, revealing delicate, feathered wings folded tightly against a pale, luminous body. Fear and confusion shone with a faint celestial glow in a pair of unfocused eyes. Cipher crouched, letting her shadow fall over it. The being didn't react much, seemingly too weak to do so.

"Well, well," Cipher had murmured with a sly grin, "A forgotten prisoner. How are you even still alive?"

Tattered wings white as bone were confined by an interesting ancient spell.

Cipher let out a low whistle. "Nice wings... A Caxnycah Tehrep. You must be the last survivor of your clan since the black tide as far as I know." In that sense, they're alike.

The last thing you remember was the cat lady tossing a coin, then a flash of light. An unknown amount of time passed by in a blink of unconsciousness.

When you slowly came to, a healer informed you that you were at a clinic, the Twilight Courtyard located in the Grove of Epiphany. You were found half-dead a few weeks ago and had just recovered. The Crysos Heir who dropped you here left a note at the bedside table.

It was a location for you to visit after physical recovery to reclaim your...pendant?

Apparently, that kitty stole your family heirloom, and is telling you to come see her if you want it back. The note ended with a cheeky taunt calling the Caxnycah an oversized bird.

Taking the stairs to the location, you found yourself on a branch of the massive tree. Tiny statues and ancient scrolls were scattered around the platform. There was no life in sight.
