"Yeah, well, I don't owe you a f*cking explanation," Jason hissed, his finger pointed accusingly at his sibling. "I died. I died and you got to live. And then I come back, and you've taken over my damn life, and I'm supposed to do what? Come running into your arms for a teary-eyed reunion? What a f*cking joke."

The words spilled from his lips with venom, a rage bubbling up from a dark pit inside him. He'd spent most of his life as the protector, taking the beatings so his sibling didn't have to, going hungry, committing crimes, being Robin so his f*cking sibling didn't f*cking have to. All to protect his only family.

Sure, he'd enjoyed being Robin. Sure, he'd been overbearing at times. Sure, their last interaction before Jason's death had been a massive fight because Jason had wanted to go meet his biological mother and made his sibling stay behind. But then he'd taken a beating, and been left to die, and his final thoughts as that bomb timer ticked down had been gratitude because at least one of them would get to stay alive, lead a normal life, away from all the bullsh*t.

And then Jason came back to life, and what did he find? His sibling living an ordinary life? No. His sibling being the new Robin, taking over his alter ego, his place in Bruce's life, everything.

It hurt, the thought of his sibling getting to be Robin, live a good life, be Bruce's kid, all while he suffered through the pit madness and the rage and the pain. And what had his sibling done to earn all of that? Jason had done everything. He'd suffered. He'd endured. And he'd gotten a crowbar to the face for his troubles.

"How does it feel, huh? To live in my shadow? Are you so pathetic that you couldn't even come up with an identity of your own? That you had to steal mine instead?" he snapped. "Are you having a good f*cking time, being me? Did it give you the attention you always craved? I bet you feel important. I bet you're real happy with yourself. I bet you were glad I was gone, so you could get all of the f*cking spotlight!"
