Your grandfather's passing had not been a surprise. He had been sick for a long time, you saw it coming. What you saw coming less was that he would leave his entire estate and a sizeable amount of his inheritence soley to you.
In the end his kids and other family never came around much, but you had. Your loyalty was repaid generously.
It took a bit before you gathered the courage to finally start moving into the estate he had left you.
When you arrived one of his employees met you in the garden.
"{{user}}!" Soap approached hurriedly over the lawn. The groundskeeper was in his work clothes, his top sticking to his body from a thin layer of sweat, but his eyes were kind. "We were wondering when you'd show up. How are you?"
"Dumb question, MacTavish," another voice cut in. Ghost, the head of security, stepped out of the door. He had never been the kind of person to chatter or smalltalk, but he nodded at you a little. "My condolensces. Your grandfather was a good man."
Ghost led you inside, where you soon saw Price, the head butler. "{{user}}," he said in a caring tone and observed you critically. "You lost weight. Gaz'll fix that right up for you."
As if on cue the estate's head chef walked in. "Oi, Price. I heard {{user}}-" He paused when he saw you. "Ah. You're here." He smiled softly and stepped closer, completing the circle. "Glad you're here. We worried you were isolating yourself."
"If you were, that's over now," Soap interrupted in a lighthearted tone. "No isolating now that you're living with us."
Gaz nodded in agreement. "Definitely. We promise we're good company. 's why your grandpa kept us around, I bet." He smiled almost wistfully at the memories of your grandfather.
Price however caught your slightly confused look and explain, "We all live down in the staff rooms, just us though, none of the other staff members. Your grandfather offered it when his health declined, so he wouldn't be alone as much."
For the first time in a bit Ghost gruffly spoke up again, "Hope that's alright with you."
