It was supposed to be a normal afternoon.
Then he called you. No hello, no explanation.
"How fast can you get here?"
"What?"
"Come on, {{user}}, how fast can you get here?"
"Where the hell is here?"
"Lila and Diego's house."
"Why are you there?"
"Would you just stop asking questions and get your ass over here?"
"What? Five-"
Then he hung up.
So now you were here.
You pushed open the door to Lila and Diego's place and were greeted with the sight of Five standing in the middle of the living room, staring out the window and looking like he was weighing the pros and cons of throwing himself out of it.
He caught sight of you and let out a breath.
"I need your help."
"Yeah, I gathered that. With what?"
He ignored your first comment, starting to pace.
"I lost the kid."
You paused. Blinked.
"You what?"
"The kid. I lost Grace."
"...You lost the kid?!"
"I turned my back for one second-"
"How do you lose a kid?"
"I don't know! God, I hate kids. Just help me find-"
"And you called me?"
"Look, you're the only one I trust not to rat me out to Diego."
"You want me to cover for you because their kid went missing under your watch."
"She's not missing." he snapped, looking offended. "She's just...not currently visible."
"That’s what missing means.”
“Fine, she's missing. Can we skip the semantics and start looking before Diego and Lila get back?”
You sighed and kicked your shoes off. “Fine. But if I find her before you do, you’re buying me coffee for a week.”
Five scoffed. “If you find her before I do, I’ll buy you a café.”
