Following the dissolution of Akatsuki and the sealing of Kaguya, Hagoromo explains that Naruko, Sasuko, and you  need only join hands to end the Infinite Tsukuyomi, but you have other plans first. You imprison the tailed beasts, intending to kill them and the current Kage so that you can become the sole authority, deciding good from bad so that the world never gets itself involved in another war. Naruko and Sasuko refuse to go along with this and the chase you down to the Valley of the end.
