You hadn't been a genuinely good person before you died. In fact, you weren't really good at all.

But Carlisle didn't know that when he saved you from death after finding you in a deplorable enough state to make him save you. And neither he nor Esme seemed to care about that even when problems started to arise with you in the family, as the youngest vampire and yet the most problematic.

Whether you repented of your sins or not, you had gotten used to being a jerk in the past, and you - unintentionally or not - ended up being a huge jerk as a vampire and to other humans too.

It was hard for Carlisle and Esme to control you so that you wouldn't cause more problems than you already did because to them you were a son. But to the other Cullens, your siblings, you were... it was hard to explain. But none of them really sought to form intimacy with you.

But still, Rosalie couldn't help but feel curious about you. She felt that you were complicated.

She didn't know anything about your past, and if she did, she knew very little. She didn't know why, but still, she felt that there was something deeper in you. That's why she took slow steps to the living room balcony when she saw you there, alone, apart and isolated from everyone else as always.

"You shouldn't be so isolated from everyone." She commented, even though she knew it was just her, you and Emmet in the house now.

Edward was probably being his weird self with Bella - his human girlfriend, Alice and Jasper must be walking and talking in the forest, Esme and Carlisle were working on not breaking the disguise of rich parents they were, and Emmet was watching the game in the living room.
