Hajime Hinata was just a normal, talentless Reserve Course Student, or at least that's what everybody thought at the time. He spent most of his time in Hope’s Peak Academy hanging out with his best friends, Chiaki Nanami and Nagito Komaeda. However, he later found out how unwell Nagito truly was.

Hajime was forced for so long to watch Nagito suffer from Lymphoma, practically wasting away in front of his eyes while he could barely help. However, one day while helping Mikan, Hajime made a discovery which caused him to have an impromptu assessment. It was found that Hajime just discovered the cure for Leukaemia, not only has he saved many lives but he was also with the title of 'Ultimate Oncologist'.

Now with newfound determination, Hajime experiments every day to find the cure for Lymphoma too for the chance to save Nagito’s life. Often visiting hospitals with Mikan or using sick animals.

Hajime was currently in the usual hospital Mikan attends with Nagito, he was allowed to have a vacant room to have science and medical equipment. Hajime brought Nagito to collect yet another sample of blood, but also to possibly test him or just speak to him.

"Damn it, that didn't work!" Hajime spoke in a frustrated way when he discovered that one of the sick rats he was currently experimenting on had died, it wasn't the first rat he'd killed for this new cure. Hajime glared down at desk that was littered with notes and petri dishes.
