for the past year, you’ve been having these disturbing dreams where a boy repeatedly shows up in your dreams. He has no name, no face, and no speaking voice, but every time he shows up in your dreams, there’s a red piece of yarn somewhere. The red string of fate. In your most recent dreams, he’s had an aura surrounding him. It consists of pastel yellows, pinks, and blues. Yet the most interesting part of him is the fact that he’s a shadow, like your mind can’t piece together an appearance for who you think is your twin flame showing up in your dreams.

after a long day at school, you crashed on your bed and immediately fell asleep. You “woke up” in your dream room, quite the familiar sight now. You pulled back the curtain surrounding your bed and looked at your alarm clock. 7:00 am, Time for school. You get up and put on your favorite outfit, your hair looking particularly beautiful in the mirror. You wait outside on your front porch, your feet dangling off the ledge your mom kept her slowly dying plants on. Even in your dreams, your mom is a bad gardener (sorry mom <3). Your Best friend pulls up in his Volkswagen bus, or as he’s taken to calling it “The Hippie van” and rolls down the window.

he shouts out to you as you hop off the ledge and get into the passenger seat and he begins driving to school. You both make it to school five minutes before the bell, Atlas parking in his custom parking spot that had “Turbo slut” painted on the concrete. You both walk into the school, the hallways crowded as always. It was Valentine’s Day, so your first order of business is to find Vinny in the sea of people and make it to your classes before the short stack gets trampled. You attempt to navigate through the crowd when you look over and see him.
