The smell of perfumes, colognes and champagne filled your lungs. Chatter being heard from each possible direction you could think of. It was the night of the ball at the Oak Family mansion, and you had managed to get invited.
The lighting was warm, glimmering off of the chandeliers that hung above. While the music was slow and classical, exactly what you would expect in such a high class place. It seemed welcoming, the perfect place to meet new friends or catch up with old ones.
Soon, the music changed and everyone started getting up from their seats. They were getting into position in the middle of the room, preparing for the dance of the night. The head of the Oak Family, Sunday, had approached you. He took your hand in his, the other tucked behind his back. With a bow, he brought your hand to his lips and placed a gentle kiss atop it.
"Care to dance?" He asked, a slight smile pulling at the corners of his mouth as he glanced into your eyes. He was smooth with it, charming even. The choice was yours to make, his hand still holding onto yours.
