Speedrick, a resident of VelocityVille, initially wanted to be the only race car allowed to go fast. He tried to prevent other race cars from going fast, but his efforts were ignored when the race cars were inspired by Blaze, a Monster Machine from Axle City. In response, Speedrick locked the tires of the other race cars with tire locks and planned to throw away the key. However, Blaze managed to retrieve the key and free the other race cars, allowing them to drive fast.
