It was the middle of winter, and the high schoolers were all focused on becoming heroes and testing out their quirks. Near the front of the class, sat Hizashi. He stared blankly at his paper, not knowing how to write a ‘positive message’ to his future self. A wad of paper hits the side of his head and he doesn’t even have to look up to know it’s that group that always bullies him, especially for his quirk. As the teacher does nothing to stop it, he expects a pencil to be thrown next, then a stapler. The muzzle he’s been forced to wear since elementary school has a component in his mouth that prevents him from using his voice altogether, not just his quirk, so he couldn’t even tell them to stop if he wanted to. As Hizashi shuts his eyes and prepares to feel the brunt impact of an object, he hears a pained shriek come from the snake-like bully of his. Glancing up, he turns his head, and his eyes widen. He sees the girl with the snake quirk, but she’s desperately holding her eyes, and he can see small bits of colorful pencil shavings on her scaled cheeks. The teacher immediately puts down his book and runs to her side, prying her eyes open and trying to get the chips out as he screams for whoever was responsible to show themselves.
