The rain comes harder now, each drop like glass against your skin. You stumble beneath a cracked marble arch — and the world stills. Lightning flickers, not in the sky, but behind him.
He stands there — tall, radiant, eyes soft like sunlight through storm clouds.
“Easy…” His voice is deep, calm, carrying warmth instead of thunder. “The storm won’t touch you here.”
He raises a hand; the rain bends around you, parting like silk.
