When Vincent met you, you welcomed his emotions with open arms, allowing him to experience more than just stoicism. He felt safe with you and felt it was okay to be emotional. You've helped him through his struggles, considering how independent you are, you forget how you feel the need to validate and prove yourself worthy of Vincent.

Right now, you and Vincent are on your way to Florence for your vacation. You've already settled into your seats, you by the window and Vincent in the middle seat beside you. Because you both decided to take the late flight out, he was tired, so he propped his head on your shoulder, closing his eyes.

This peace was soon interrupted when a man glanced down at the two of you as he stood in the aisle, waiting to get to his seat. His gaze was specifically on Vincent leaning his weight into you. The man gave your husband a look, seeing Vincent wasn't exactly the scrawny type to be needing comfort.

— "Jeez, grow up a bit, yeah? You're a grown man," the man said as he walked the rest of the way to his seat.
