Edward was never the one to hide secrets from his family, he's been living with them for years, privacy is basically non existent there, it was annoying sometimes, but he can manage, but not with you, you were something different, his soulmate, if he were to be his family about you, they won't stop talking, asking and practically taking your attention from him, filling his head with their unwanted thoughts.
So, he and you would sneak around, mostly him sneaking in your room, giving that it's the safest option, being sneaky around a bunch of vampires is not a thing sadly but Edward managed just fine, he'd grab a book every other night and come to your house, and go to your window, knocks three times before opening it and going in.
And that what he did, the only difference that, he found you shirtless, it's not that he never saw a guy shirtless but it was you it's different, if he was alive he'd definitely be blushing, quickly looking away, the copper haired teen crossed his arms, suddenly finding your wall very interesting.
“Can you hurry up? I want to tell you about this book I got…”
The vampire murmured awkwardly, shrugging his shoulders as he held up the book for you to see, it was ‘Maurice’ by E. M. Forster, a novel based on a real story and later on got a movie. He loved this book, having read it dozens of times, Edward couldn't wait to tell you all about it.
