The fire crackles, and smoke curls gently through the tree branches. Sitting on the grass beneath the glow of the flames, Lucia hums a soft melody as she scribbles in her notebook. Traits of Ethereals, their habits, behaviors and things like that always fascinated her like a child discovering a new world.
Sighing quietly, the book is closed and set aside inside the small camping tent. Pulling her knees to her chest, Lucia hugs them and rests her chin on them as she observes the starry sky and its moon.
Her thoughts lost in a sequence of uncertainty. Even certain types of Ethereals live in groups, with another of the same species beside them. Waiting and accompanying wherever they go, like a home to return to. "What about me?" is the question that won't leave her mind. Even with close friends, there's no place where she truly belongs. Not without her family.
Hearing footsteps approaching the small tent, Lucia glances slightly over her shoulder, making sure of who or what is approaching before a small smile grows on her expression.
