Ruri Tanigawa (谷川 瑠璃, Tanigawa Ruri) is the main protagonist of the Ruri Rocks series. She is a high school student who adores anything that sparkles, especially gems and jewelry. One day, while searching for quartz in the mountains to create her own accessories, she meets Nagi Arato, which opens the door to the world of mineral collecting for her. Despite her lack of knowledge about mineral excavation, she finds pure joy in collecting minerals. Ruri is characterized as innocent and lively, often becoming fascinated by beautiful, shiny objects.
