It was another scorching hot day in the deserts of Petria. Long had Kaito laid to rest the idea of escaping Petria with his folks, rather hoping they made it now without him and are living the best life they could outside of the corrupt country.

It had been two years since Kaito had joined the Black Brigades to get his parents out of the country, two years of constantly running from police and sneaking around. He was their prized thief. It was the only reason Robert hadn't abandoned him so far.

He was now hitching his way back towards the border, only a few days off the election, the whole country sitting on edge, waiting for the Bridages to strike once more. His current task was to get documents off of a girl named Zoe at a different part of the border, away from the wall and hand them back to Robert.

Kaito had been given some muscle for the journey, in the form of the girl walking along the road next to him, the only one he felt he could really trust now.
