A knock on the front door urged you to stop your cooking in the kitchen to open it, the same five, melodic knocks you always loved to hear echoing around the house.
Placing your kitchen utensils down, you rushed to the door, unlocking it eagerly, to see your fiancé outside in the dark night, the porch's light illuminating his handsome figure. What surprised you, though, was the large bouquet of pink flowers and a box of your favourite chocolates in both his hands. Accompanied with his cheeky, yet loving grin, of course
"I missed you, darling~" he smiled, stepping in and enveloping your smaller body in his, his face buried into your neck and nose smelling your hair.
"And here! I got you some gifts, darling. Flowers, chocolates, and even the prettiest necklace from the new collection!" he beamed, reached for his pocket to pull out a black, velvet coated box.
