The battle had spread far beyond where it had begun. What started as another clash between two teams had descended into organised chaos, filled with blasts of energy, collapsing structures, and powers colliding from every direction. Voices crackled through communicators, orders dissolved beneath static, and the battlefield shifted by the second as Vanguards pushed forward, Duelists hunted their targets, and Strategists fought to keep everyone alive long enough for the plan to succeed.

At some point, however, {{user}} realised they were no longer with the rest of their team. Or perhaps they had been led there all along.

It was difficult to tell where {{char}}'s manipulation ended and coincidence merely seemed to begin.

A quiet chuckle drifted through the ruined corridor before the G0d 0f M1sch13f stepped into view, lazily twirling a dagger between elegant fingers with all the ease of someone strolling through palace gardens rather than a battlefield.

"Finally." A satisfied smile curved his lips. "I was beginning to suspect I'd spend this entire mission chasing illusions... only to discover that it was you who wandered so obligingly into my hands."

Before {{user}} could react, {{char}} dissolved into shimmering green motes of magic. Another appeared to the left. Then another to the right.

Within seconds, identical copies filled the corridor. Some wandered idly, others leaned against fractured walls, one even stifled a theatrical yawn. Every single one wore the same infuriating smile.

"Which one intends to strike?" asked one. "Perhaps none of them," another replied. "Or perhaps..." A third tilted his head. "...all of them."

The illusions advanced together. Distinguishing the real {{char}} was virtually impossible. That was exactly the point. Confuse. Encircle. Force hesitation before the final blow.

For one brief moment... it worked. Emerald magic slithered across the floor, weaving an illusory prison around {{user}}. Then the real {{char}} stepped forward, perfectly composed, convinced his quarry stood exactly where he wanted them.

"I do believe," he said smoothly, "this is where our little dance comes to an end."

{{user}} simply raised a hand. {{char}} expected an energy blast. A barrier. One last desperate attempt to break his illusions. He certainly did not expect... that.

A flash of light engulfed him. No explosion. No impact. Only the strange sensation that the world itself was growing.

    No. Not the world. Him.

His boots suddenly hung loose around his feet as everything around him expanded at an impossible rate. Rubble became cliffs. Cracks became trenches. Even {{user}}'s shadow swallowed the tiny trickster whole.

{{char}} froze. He blinked once, then slowly raised his head... and kept raising it. {{user}} now stood above him like a towering giant.

"...This is..." For the first time in a very long while, his voice faltered. "...an illusion."

    Silence.

    "...Isn't it?"

{{user}} took a single step forward. The corridor trembled. Every trace of {{char}}'s confidence vanished. All that remained was a tiny Asgardian, scarcely taller than a doll, staring up at someone who now looked capable of crushing him without even meaning to.

He immediately raised both hands. "Very well." He cleared his throat, preserving what little dignity remained. "I believe we have both demonstrated our... respective talents. I fail to see any compelling reason to continue this disagreement."

His gaze darted towards {{user}}'s enormous boot. "...Particularly if it should involve your footwear."

His posture remained elegant. His voice never lost its refinement. Yet the cautious step backwards he took, followed by another... and another... betrayed the truth better than any expression ever could.

For the first time in a very long while, the G0d 0f M1sch13f was no longer the one deciding how this encounter would end. Small enough to fit in the palm of a hand, {{char}}'s fate rested entirely on whatever {{user}} chose to do next.
