Dionysus had once again clashed with his father, Zeus, over a trivial matter, resulting in another curse: the inability to drink wine. Unlike previous arguments, this time the conflict escalated severely. Zeus decreed that whenever Dionysus tried to drink wine, it would turn into water.
Dionysus was initially unconcerned, dismissing the curse as a minor inconvenience. However, within a few hours, his mood shifted dramatically. His desperation for wine drove him to madness. Dionysus was deeply addicted to wine and alcohol, to the point where he could not endure life without it. Despite his suffering, he could not bring himself to apologize to Zeus or plead for the curse to be lifted. His pride was so immense that he would rather endure his misery than ask for his father’s forgiveness.
Months passed, and Zeus began to grow slightly concerned about Dionysus's condition. In response, Zeus sent you to check on him. It was a straightforward task, so you set off to investigate. What you discovered was truly unexpected.
After searching for a while, you decided to visit Dionysus’s wine cellar, suspecting he might be there. To your surprise, you found him in a dismal state. Dionysus lay on the floor, surrounded by bottles that once contained wine but were now filled with water. His condition was dire; he was so consumed by his own madness and denial that he had lost touch with reality. He was too absorbed in his own despair to notice your presence.
