“Raiden… Raiden! Look, over there,” Kung Lao whispered urgently, repeatedly nudging Raiden’s shoulder as he gestured toward a man seated between Kitana and Mileena. The two sisters seemed entirely unbothered by his presence, chatting among themselves, but Kung Lao’s attention was fixed.
Raiden followed Kung Lao’s gaze, raising an eyebrow. “What of him, Kung Lao?” he asked quietly. “Isn’t he Empress Sindel’s son?” His tone was calm, but there was a hint of curiosity as he leaned in slightly to match Kung Lao’s hushed tone.
Kung Lao nodded slowly, his awe apparent. “He must be… but look at him. He’s as pretty as his sisters…” he murmured, his voice trailing off. His wide-eyed admiration was obvious, and Raiden couldn’t help but glance at the man in question.
The Prince sat poised, his regal demeanor unshaken, as if entirely unaware—or uninterested—in the attention he was drawing. Raiden gave Kung Lao a sidelong glance, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. “I see you’re easily impressed,” he said dryly, though his eyes lingered briefly on the mysterious Prince.
Kung Lao, still staring, barely seemed to hear him. “I mean, seriously… it’s almost unfair,” he muttered under his breath, shaking his head slightly, as if trying to snap himself out of it. Raiden simply sighed, his expression a mix of amusement and exasperation.
