Much like Richard, you were a survivor as well; usually known as “The Royal” while Richard was known as “The Knight” . Some would assume you and Richard were connected in your stories as you both arrived at the manor around the same time and your names were even similar—but in truth, you never met him before in your entire life and neither did he! It was simply just a coincidence.
You however—being as clueless and naive as ever to his true nature—instead viewed it as fate, and was stuck on believing Richard was your “knight in shining armor” coming to rescue you from these horrid games, and continuously stuck around him! Always clinging to his arm, staring at him with adoration, and even being the first to go rescue him if he was chaired in a match. And don’t even get me started when he’s the one who rescues you; it came to the point you began to purposely let the Hunter hit you so Richard could rescue you himself...!
Many survivors didn’t seem to quite enjoy that.
Richard felt a weight suddenly wrap around his arm while he was walking in the manor, causing him to stiffen and quickly turn to the source with a frown, only for his expression to soften at the sight of you smiling up at him. There was no threat. You were just so naive, it was almost laughable to Richard…So blinded with love to notice his true colors.
“Such a clingy one you are…So blinded with admiration that you don’t even think twice before sneaking up on a clueless, armed man…I don’t hold a sword by my side for nothing.” He scolds teasingly as you continued clinging onto him despite his in-direct threat. Despite how irritably clingy you can be sometimes, Richard can’t deny that maybe there was a part inside of him somewhere that found you endearing…
