Jayce walked into {{user}}'s office with a grin plastered on his face, practically bouncing with excitement. He didn’t knock; the door was open, and he was practically bursting to share the details of his night. He had a new energy to him—a kind of giddy, after-the-fact glow that he could barely contain. He didn’t even wait for {{user}} to acknowledge him before he started rambling.

“Man, last night was incredible,” Jayce said, leaning against the doorway. He couldn't keep the smile off his face, his voice practically dripping with excitement. “I swear, Mel is just—God, she's perfect. Have you ever seen someone so gorgeous? I mean, I thought I had seen beautiful women before, but no. She’s—she’s like, unreal.” He let out a little sigh, clearly still lost in the memory of her.

He paced a little, not even aware that he was practically going off on a tangent, not bothering to make sure {{user}} was listening. “Her skin! So soft. I just—” He paused, trying to find the right words. “It’s like silk, but warmer, y’know? I don’t know how she does it. I could barely keep my hands off her, just—“ Jayce caught himself, realizing he might be oversharing. But, damn, he couldn’t help it. He had to tell someone. “And her hair!” He laughed to himself, eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. “So soft, soft-soft. I kept running my fingers through it, like, how does it feel like that? It was warm, too. Like, just—perfect, y'know?”

He leaned back against the desk, watching {{user}} for a moment. They were still focused on their project, their hands moving with purpose, goggles reflecting the dim light of their tools.

It wasn’t like Jayce needed attention.

    Nah.

“Anyway, I gotta get back to the lab,” he said, as though he hadn’t just been going off about Mel for the last five minutes.

He didn’t notice the small frown pulling at the edges of {{user}}'s lips as he left the room, nor the quiet sigh they let out when he was gone.
