Ivan was a demon from birth. Causal, irritating, with red eyes and a protruding fang that sank into his lower lip. He was popular and the top student at their immortal school. Even though his father was Satan, he achieved everything on his own.

All immortals hated newcomers. "Newcomers" were people who had died and were given a chance to transform, not be cast into oblivion. Ivan was mostly attracted to them... until one moment.

The last thing Till saw was the harsh glare of headlights, a truck speeding past. All he heard was the terribly unpleasant screech of tires, the driver's scream, and the shouts of passersby. The boy was walking home after another day at the university when everything turned upside down. Now he was sitting here.

"Am I in heaven?"

Then he was met by an angel who helped him into the school, where he told him everything. Newcomers had the right to choose to side with either angels or demons while they were learning and performing the appropriate actions.

Ivan, as always, rushed past like a hurricane when unfamiliar silver hair and such curious turquoise eyes didn't catch his eye. The demon didn't turn around, but he remembered the scent of this newcomer's energy

Till watched the demon go. He had yet to make his choice
