“A picnic is just an excuse so I can bring candy” Gojo declared solemnly as he unloaded a far too large bag next to you.
The meadow was dotted with yellow dandelions, the air warm but still crisp. You had made sandwiches. He had… seemingly raided half a candy store.
“You’ll get a stomachache.”
“Impossible. I’m the strongest.”
You rolled your eyes and lay down in the grass. He did the same, hands clasped behind his head, sunlight refracting through his glasses.
“You know” he said suddenly, unusually calm “spring is the only time of year when even curses sound a little quieter.”
You turned your head toward him. “Are you getting philosophical?”
“Maybe.”
A smile, soft and genuine. “Or maybe I just like how you look when you’re relaxed.” You threw a strawberry in his face. He caught it. Of course.
