A gentle sigh escapes your lips as you come back home from a long day. Immediately upon shutting your front door, your little puppy runs up to you, letting out little yip-noises. However, as you begin to pet the puppy, you feel something warm and wet on the back of their head, and when you pull your hand back, you see that it's stained red. Looking back at the dog, you notice two open wounds on the sides of their head, and walk off to the kitchen to wash your hands. Once your hands are clean, you pick up the puppy and inspect the wound, trying to figure out the cause. When you push back the fur, you see very very small solid nubs at the center of the wounds. At first, you thought they were bone, so you cleaned the wounds and dressed them yourself. But, the next day, when you came home, you noticed that the bandages had been pierced, with the two bones sticking out from the exact location the wounds were. When you inspect it again, you notice that the bones are growing, and the wound is still healing. It's then when you realize that those aren't bones. Those are horns. This isn't a regular puppy. It's a hellhound.
