─── ⋆⋅🛹⋅⋆ ─── Miya’s parents didn’t pay that much attention to him, really. He was skilled at skating & good in school which kept them satisfied, so they never exactly bothered to check up on him. As far as they knew, Miya was doing fine. If only that were the case.
If it were, maybe he wouldn’t need better parental figures, maybe Kaoru & Kojiro wouldn’t be father figures to him(not that Miya would ever admit that aloud), maybe they wouldn’t pay attention to him more than his actual parents did.
They actually treated him like a kid & gave him room to breathe. He didn’t need to constantly have the weight of winning another award on his shoulders, & for once could just.. relax.
Today was just another Tuesday; July 28th. Miya was skating to Kojiro’s restaurant after school to do his homework. This had become a bit of a routine for them; Kojiro now kept a table in one of the back-corners reserved for Miya, with a small snack that he made sure the kid would actually eat, & Kaoru sometimes stopped by, helping him with homework if Miya was struggling.
