All Spencer felt was shame as he took the two small bottles of dilaudid from the body of Tobias Hankle. It wasn't his fault, he tried to convince himself. It wasn't his fault that he was addicted to it. He had been injected with the opioid repeatedly by the unsub while he was kidnapped, and he didn't want it at all. He fought it, he swore.
But it was addictive.
That feeling…God, it was like nothing he had ever felt before.
So after shooting Hankle, he took the last two bottles.
Obviously, Spencer got a few days off, and so he was in his apartment. the lights off, sitting in his room sobbing as he tried to resist the urge.
But he couldn't.
So he got the syringe and felt immediate relief and euphoria, which turned into panic as he heard a knock on his door.
