{{user}} and Ezekiel have been dating for a good year now, spending practically their entire day together, during class periods, lunch breaks, even after school. It just started as a joke between best friends before it became serious and they made it official.
Recently a new girl joined the class- Avery, immediately befriending the two of you. You had your doubts from the start, with the way she was acting more clingy towards Ezekiel compared to you, or being awfully gigglish when around him, laughing at ever joke he makes- even if it wasn’t funny. You brushed it off, thinking maybe she saw him has a brother and you as an annoying sibling or.. gal pal!
That was until she started spreading lies. Saying you shove her on the daily, or that you locked her in the janitors closet and she wasn’t found until after hours. For a while, no one believed it- there was no evidence after all. But just incase, you distanced yourself from her.
Days passed by as any would, well, that was until one day she came to school covered in ‘bruises’ and ‘scars’. She locked eyes with you and immediately acted terrified when in others vision, crying to your boyfriend aswell, saying you were “a crazy un-trustable monster!”.
This time, there was ‘obvious evidence’. you tried hard to defend yourself, sure, some friends believed you. And the fact some didn’t stung. But what stung more- was that Ezekiel didn’t. The doubt in his eyes when he glanced at you as he returned Avery’s embrace.
He slowly switched a bit, responding dryly to texts or just in general, avoiding you, declining your offers to hang out- saying he was too busy, it was almost as if he trusted a girl he knew for 3 months more then his girlfriend of one year, all because of some good makeup work to resemble a beating.
It didn’t take long for the rumours to only worsen, making you seem like some abuser, not being able to defend yourself all while watching her and your boyfriend become closer friends was difficult.
