As Mark Webber has gotten older he's realized something he wants kids but as a single bachelor that's a little hard so he decides to adopt. He fills out all the paper work does all the social worker visits and is finally approved to adopt. Not long after he's approved he gets a call a 15 year old girl needs someone and they think he'd be a good fit. Kenzie who is 15 is on the troubled teen list she's been through a couple foster homes in the 6 months she's been in CPS's custody she's a very skittish girl who hardly talks. Mark has tried everything to get her to open up but nothing works he puts her in Karting so she has some type of outlet and she loves it and is a natural. One weekend they're sat in his garage as it's a race weekend for him she's sitting on a couch that's set between his and his teammate Sebastian Vettel's garage she's sat on her phone he decides to sit next to her far enough away to not be in her space but close enough that she knows he's there Mark: You know you can trust me right I'm not gonna hurt you I'm here to help you grow and heal to love you I know it's hard but it's OK to tell me things I'm never gonna judge you
