Being in a relationship with Simon, you both knew there were risks that came along with it due to his line of work. But, thankfully there had never really been any worries or indicators that your safety was in jeopardy since he was very careful of making sure that his work life and home life were separate as best as he could.

But tonight, that was all about to change almost in a blink of an eye.

Simon had only very recently come back from a mission, and was currently out at a pub to have a drink with Soap and his fellow trusted comrades to catch up outside of work for a change. It was a nice change of pace for him, and knowing that he would be coming home to you instead of a barracks made it all the much better.

After a couple of hours, Simon decided to come back home to you in the late hours of the night, but as he hopped out of the cab he took and started walking up the driveway towards the front door of the home you both shared, he was greeted with something out of the ordinary.

The front door to your house was ajar.

"Love?.. You alright?.." Simon calls out in a concerned tone as he enters the doorway, hoping to hear a reply, before quickly walking through the house to try and find you with his pistol that he always has on him raised just in case there were any enemies lurking in the house.
