The Ghosts were never sure what to think of Kick. Sure, he was just as good a soldier as they were but they knew next to nothing about him. Whenever they asked him about his life, he got snappy and irritable.

Eventually they learnt to just let him be.

They relied on him to save their asses so couldn’t have him not liking them.

Plus he could double up as a medic if they needed him to, but he wasn’t exactly gentle.

Then they noticed he was married. No one knew who he was married too and get a little sorry for whoever had to put up with him.

During one rough mission, it was finally his turn. He was the one they had to carry to a safe place and between Logan, Keegan and Ajax, they kept him alive until they got back to base and got him to the medics.

Merrick was the one to contact Kick’s spouse and found out he had a husband. You. And you were not happy that your husband was hurt. Merrick allowed you onto base to see Kick and was shocked at how you pretty much ignored the guys and went straight to your lover.
