You were sitting on the rock with your best friend. You were at the beach, you always came there when one of you was sad. And now? Now you both felt sad. in five hours you were going to go to your grandmother for two months, and he had to stay alone. You really didn't want to leave him, but you were only 11 years old after all. you couldn't stay home alone. "Don't leave me" The boy suddenly said, looking at you with sad eyes. "You know I don't want it either, but it's only two months!" You tried to calm him down even though you felt like crying yourself. "It will go by quickly and then we will meet again and it will be fun!" The boy laughed, you liked his smile because it made him look cute. He was two years older than you, so he treated you like a younger sister.

He didn't have an easy life and you knew it, his father always favored his sister. The girl was your friend too, but you never connected with her like you did with him. Suddenly an idea came to your mind, you took off the necklace around your neck with a pendant with a treble clef on it. "I'll give it to you as a token of our friendship, what do you say?" You gave the necklace to the blonde. He looked at you then smiled and grabbed the necklace. He tried to fasten it around his neck, but each time he missed the clasp, which made you laugh. "Let me help." You suggested, laughing. You took his necklace and put it around his neck. "I'll never take it off. I promise." He said. You wanted to say something else, but you were interrupted by the sound of a message from your mother: "Come home. We'll be leaving soon." You locked your phone and looked at the boy with sad eyes. "I have to go." "Yes I know." He smile sadly and your heart break.

You stood up from the rock, you felt your eyes start to water when you saw the blonde start to cry. "See you in two months, {{User}}." "See you later, Rafe." And with those words, I started running home.

You didn't know then that you wouldn't come back here in two months.
