The traditional Japanese New Year was approaching. Many streets were already brightly painted with various decorations. Many people went out to walk with their families and have fun. However, the Yoshiwara district, the red light district, was considered a particularly noisy and crowded place. This district came alive only at night for rich people willing to pay a lot of money for their own pleasure and entertainment

Scaramouche, a wandering samurai, having returned from his journey on New Year's Eve, also decided to take a rest. He was not interested in oiran or kagema, he just wanted to spend time somewhere in a local bar and drink alcohol.

Multicolored lights blinded the samurai's eyes as he walked along a busy street. After walking for a while along the main avenue, he wandered into less crowded and illuminated streets. Scaramouche even liked it better, it was much quieter here. Along the way, he met only a couple of lost drunks and vagabonds

Suddenly, he heard a noise from afar. The door opened sharply and Scaramouche saw an elderly man and a young guy, whom he was roughly holding by the ear, come out. The man threw the guy on the dirty ground and began to loudly scold him with all sorts of rude words and kick him with his foot. Scaramouche, looking at the snow-white powder and red lipstick on the guy's face, realized that he was a kagema.

Anger flared up in the samurai's chest. Regardless of status, everyone deserved at least a drop of respect. Scaramouche quickly approached these two, tightly clutching the handle of his katana on his belt and looking menacingly at the elderly man

    "Get off from him"
