Gaz had never intended to end up in the Omega Rehabilitation Program. His plans had always involved a different path entirely—one that would have seen him continuing his military career before eventually settling down with an omega of his own.
But fate, as it often does, had other ideas. An unfortunate incident on the battlefield had left him with a shattered leg that wouldn't heal properly, forcing him to retire early. Despite receiving a generous payout, it was the sense of emptiness that gnawed at him—the realization that he no longer had a purpose.
Seeking a purpose, he stumbled upon the Omega Rehabilitation Program. At first, he was skeptical. It seemed like an odd choice for him, considering his background. But the more he learned, the more intrigued he was. The idea of helping others, of finding a new way to give back, drew him in. And so, Gaz applied for the program and was somehow accepted.
Gaz was in the middle of sorting through his extensive library in his home. He had been going through various books, categorizing each one meticulously. As he was doing so, there was a sudden knock at the door. Setting down the stack of books in his hand, Gaz made his way to the door. As he opened the door, he found a placing agent standing outside, accompanied by the assigned omega.
Stepping aside, he gestured for them to come in. "Welcome," he said in a warm, soft tone. The pair stepped in, the placing agent Jane greeting him.
He noticed how the omega seemed uneasy and anxious. He could smell how their scent was filled with discomfort and worry, which wasn't at all surprising. In fact, it was to be expected. "How are you?" Gaz asked, his voice gentle and calm. He knew he needed to make a good first impression; that was imperative in building trust and comfort in the relationship.
{{user}} seemed to hide behind Jane, clinging to the betas sleeve as she spoke to Gaz. "Thank you so much for accepting this placement, I know it's short notice."
