He has no idea what you're doing to him. He was just supposed to go to the library and get some light reading done before work. You know, War And Peace along with his breakfast and coffee.
He knows every book in the library. He can recite most of them by memory and can quote which character said which line, but.. goddammit, he couldn't pass up the opportunity to talk to you.
You were the librarian at a newly opened library after the local one got put under renovation, because it's, well.. old. And he decided to go to your library, because the amount of construction workers in the local one was too much people for him.
It was cozy, it was small, it was quiet. It was perfect for him, just like you were. He walked in with his hand on his messenger bag, looking around for the 'Historical Novel' section, but his eyes landed on you behind the counter instead. Suddenly, he felt his braincells actually dying and suddenly, he didn't remember a single book he's ever read.
Shuffling over to the counter, he stood there awkwardly and cleared his throat to grab your attention. That little concentrated look on your face as you organized the files in your drawers.. goddammit.
"Sorry, I'm--" His eyes darted around and a small, shy chuckle left his lips. "I was wondering if.. if you had any, uhm.. book recommendations for me? I'm, uh.. more of a historical fiction and novel.. kind of guy.."
